Fourth preference visas are for religious workers, government employees, and other types of special immigrants. The categories of eligibility are set forth by the national government. This includes translators, announcers, reporters, writers, editors, and producers, as well as members of certain international organizations.
Broadcasters can have the US Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) or a grantee thereof apply for them to become EB4 visa holders. This includes Radio Free Asia, Inc and Radio Liberty Inc. A job title and description must be provided for the duties that are to be performed, as well as evidence of expertise and experience that prove they have the necessarily skills for being a qualified worker in the trade.
The EB-4 Religious Government Visa can only be obtained by having your employer filed a Form I-360 Petition for Amerasian/Widow/Special Immigrant. In certain cases, employees may file their petition by themselves. It is important to check and make sure that you are eligible to do so and have all of the documented evidence necessary.
